Feeling all the Fall feels about some upcoming changes!

Feeling all the Fall feels about some upcoming changes!

Fall feels like such a visually noticeable time of transition, as we watch the leaves slowly change from green, to yellow and orange and that stunning vibrant red.  With the slow change of colours this year, I caught myself many times having deep moments of reflection while doing mundane tasks. Most recently, I have been pondering the changes that I have been afraid to make over the last two years, and I am finally ready to acknowledge them and put it into the universe.

NO - I AM NOT GOING ANYWHERE!  Don't panic.

Just before the pandemic hit in the winter of 2020, I had prepared to shift my business in the way it had already been evolving.  To focus more on custom design work, special orders for bridal parties, and so so so many workshops.  But like everything else that year, I had to put a pin in my plans and reassess what I was about to do and wait to see what happened with the world.

Before I knew it, I found myself pregnant and unable to work at my workbench in the same capacity, and before I could even comprehend what was happening my baby arrived, and all of my priorities shifted.  Time is so fleeting, and I have really tried to be present and cherish the time I have with my daughter as best as I can.

The amount of time that it takes me to produce the volume of jewellery that is required to attend markets and stock retailers just isn’t feasible anymore.  So, as I saw the world of craft shows and fairs opening up again, and all my maker friends posting their processes, their new inventory, their displays and their amazing experiences, I felt a sad pit form in my stomach.

I knew in my core that this wasn’t a road that I could continue down.  I finally had to acknowledge what my gut was telling me and take a step back from making all of the limited production silver jewellery that I have been making for the last 9 years.

I’ve been feeling a bit lost at what this means for me, and the future of my business.  By no means at all am I closing up shop – but there will be a definite shift in the services that I am able to offer.

Here is what you can expect to see as I move forward:

  • A selection of highly artistic one-of-a-kind pieces available online
  • Focus on bespoke pieces made just for you: custom engagement rings, bridal jewellery, wedding bands and remodeling (like a kitchen renovation, but for that old jewellery you never wear because it’s hideous)
  • Curated collection of quality pieces from partner businesses (classic hoops, chains, etc.)
  • Wedding Band & Private Group Workshops

And before y’all come at me about knot rings and earrings, I will still make them to order.

I can not even put into words how much love and support I have received over the years, and I feel incredibly grateful for how my business has grown.  It has allowed me so much opportunity and I have made some wonderful friends along the way.

IN THE MEANTIME – I am about to clear out a whole bunch of jewellery, so stay tuned for a sale just in time for the holidays (gasp)!

I can’t wait to help you with your next special project!  I am always just an email or DM away.

XO Christina
